Route overview
Most trips take the national highway (NH47) east out of Rajkot past Kuvadva and the new Rajkot International Airport at Hirasar, then on through Chotila, Limbdi and Bagodara before entering Ahmedabad from the Sarkhej side. It is a wide, well-used highway with plenty of food and fuel stops, which makes it comfortable at any hour.
Because the drive is only around four hours, many travellers book it one way: a drop at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad Junction (Kalupur) railway station, an office on SG Highway or a hotel in the city. If you have meetings across town and need to return the same evening, a round trip with the car waiting is usually simpler.

Travel tips for this route
- For an early-morning flight from Ahmedabad, allow at least 4.5–5 hours from Rajkot plus your airline's check-in time, and share your flight number when you book.
- Weekday mornings and evenings are busy on SG Highway and near the airport; we plan the departure time with that in mind.
- If you are going on to Gandhinagar, GIFT City or Vadodara, tell us when you book so we can quote the full journey.
- Hirasar airport sits on this same highway, so a combined airport + Ahmedabad trip is easy to arrange.
