About Porbandar
Most travellers stop in Porbandar on the coastal circuit between Dwarka and Somnath. The town has a calm seafront, Gandhiji's ancestral home and a temple to Sudama, Shri Krishna's childhood friend.
South of town, the coastal road passes Madhavpur, where Shri Krishna is said to have married Rukmini, and continues towards Somnath.
