Why pilgrims come here

Mathura is home to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, while Vrindavan has thousands of temples, from the beloved Banke Bihari to the marble Prem Mandir and the ISKCON temple.

Many pilgrims also do the Govardhan parikrama, about 21 km around the sacred hill, and visit Radha Rani's temple at Barsana and Nandgaon.

Darshan & aarti tips

  • Temple timings in Vrindavan differ by season (summer and winter schedules). Check each temple's current timings.
  • Banke Bihari is extremely crowded on weekends and festivals; keep belongings to a minimum.
  • Janmashtami and Holi in Braj are spectacular but very crowded; book early.

Timings change. Temple timings vary with seasons and festivals. Always confirm the day's darshan and aarti schedule with the temple's official sources before you travel. We'll plan your departure around it.

Suggested yatra plan from Rajkot

  1. Day 1Rajkot to Udaipur or Jaipur (halt).
  2. Day 2To Mathura; evening at Vishram Ghat.
  3. Day 3Krishna Janmabhoomi, Vrindavan temples, Prem Mandir in the evening.
  4. Day 4Govardhan parikrama, Barsana and Nandgaon.
  5. Days 5–6Optional Agra, then return with a halt.

This is a long journey from Rajkot. Many families fly or take a train for the long leg; others prefer one car and driver throughout. We plan daily driving limits and overnight halts so the yatra stays comfortable. Interstate permits and tolls are listed in the quote.
